Tomorrow, 15 May at 11.00 am, the NSW Minister for Health, the Hon. Jillian Skinner will launch the “Know Your Numbers” campaign at Walsh's Village Pharmacy. This is an initiative of the NSW Government, the National Stroke Foundation and the NSW Pharmacy Guild.

***PERRY STREET LIGHTS UPDATE***
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is improving right turn access to and from Perry St. Work is scheduled to start on Monday 14 May 2012 and will take approximately two months to complete, subject to underground utilities within the work area and weather permitting. To minimise disruptions, some of this work will be done at night between Monday and Friday from 9pm to 5am. There will also be some minor day work, between Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm. The section of road near the work area will be partially closed during these times to ensure road worker and road user safety.

Development plans presented tfor a new Woolworths store on Bunnerong Rd were approved by Randwick Council at its meeting last week."

Did you knonw: Matraville is named in honour of James Matra (1746–1806), sailor and diplomat, who was a midshipman on the voyage by Captain James Cook to Botany Bay in 1770.
Wooohooo - ONLY SIX WEEKS until the expected shut down date for the old AMCOR paper machine (depending on paper stocks and market forecasts). The fancy pants new machine will begin operating in June and will meet much tougher environmental standards and mean much reduced odour for the South East.
